Have you ever looked back on your journey so far, and suddenly seen how all the different skills you've acquired - all the strange and amazing adventures you've had - all totally fit with what you feel you are called to do now?
I ask because that's what has happened to me in the last year and this web site is the result!!
Having worked in advertising and marketing, I got into radio in 1987 - quite by accident! It was a 'duck to water' moment. For over 10 years I was a journalist and broadcaster, both in Hong Kong and UK.
I've been lucky enough to interview celebrities, politicians, authors and actors including Piers Brosnan, Jon Bon Jovi and Yoko Ono. I've worked in TV and radio with Radio 5Live and Mentorn Productions, as well as local radio such as the GCap group.
Since 1997, I have been training businesses and individuals in how to succeed with the media. I have a passion for helping people, and I love seeing them blossom when they realise they can achieve something they thought was beyond them. One of the deepest sources of satisfaction is seeing people transform over the course of a training day or coaching session, from looking fearful and uncertain to blossoming as confident media spokespeople.

"When I began my media training session with Julia, the very thought of media interviews gave me cold sweats! I really couldn't believe that after only a few hours I'd be relaxed and natural in front of the camera and on the radio. Julia is an amazing coach..."

‘What I love about Julia’s approach is that she covers both the ‘hard’ facts and skills about how to have a successful media interview, as well as helping you to bust through any inner blocks and limiting self-concepts. It’s wonderful for personal ‘process’, as well as media savvy. Oh and she’s great fun to work with too!‘

I have worked with Julia Simpson twice, firstly at the Bristol-based GWR FM where she was one of the most recognizable presenters on the well respected regional music station. We worked together again when I was editor of the daily entertainment news bulletin on Radio 5 Live. Julia's contributions, including lengthy sit down interviews with actors and musicians, helped the radio strand gain a prestigious Sony Award nomination. Her superb broadcast voice and ability to connect intelligently with listeners is, in my view, unrivalled in the business.
